Hi guys, I have a session in Reaper that I need to output each track as an individual WAV. Rather than render out every track at a time, is there a master function that will automatically do this for all of them? I know there is the consolidate output option, but that makes every overdub its own file rather than rendering everything together on that track. I want to export/render everything just as it is in the session so it can be dumped into another DAW and sync up. Hope that makes sense! Thanks!
Select all the tracks you wish to render as individual files, go to the file/render dialog make your settings and make sure you tick the 'render stems' box.
I think what you're asking is to consolidate several takes (overdubs) on the same track lane into one file, like a comped track. I comp my overdubs, with crossfades, etc, then consolidate into one continuous wav. If someone wants all the takes/punch-ins consolidated to zero, then I "explode each take into tracks", then consolidate those, ending up with LOTS of tracks, all zeroed. Also, I'll select all tracks or selected tracks, time selection, etc in the consolidate menu. It sounds like maybe you're overdubbing on separate track lanes? Try overdubbing on the same track, while selecting "show all takes in lane" in the options menu, 7 lines down. To audition different takes of say 10 drum mics, I set up a keystroke in the actions list, mine is Ctl + #keys. I then snip and click on whichever take(s) I want to comp a track(s), then consolidate to bounce the whole thing into one (10) continuous zeroed wav. Really fast and efficient, many PT/Logic/etc users have been amazed at the speed of this.

Thanks Peter. I'm probably just brain dead but I can't make much sense of your post. Apologies. But yes, some of the overdubs were done on new tracks/lanes. Am I screwed because of this? I figure I will bump this thread now that I'm using Reaper 4. Is there any kind of Multi-track bounce option in Reaper 4? I'm thinking of something similar to what Samplitude has. Where you can dump every lane/track to its own (new) individual WAV file. It'd be a bonus if you could print the FX to the track as well. Thanks guys

I use Record output for this. I set up the directory for the rendered files files in Project Settings. You have to add a track for each track you want to render, then direct each track you want to render to the appropriate output track and hit record. Once it's done I use actions to rename the source files. Works good for me. The only downer is they have to be rendered in Real Time, but I don't mind, they end up exactly where I want em and how I want em.:)
Thank you Tod. Render to "Stems" is exactly what I was looking for. All of the tracks printed with their respective levels and FX. THANKS GUYS!
