colour the marker

Hi, I'm new user of reaper and i've got this problem; When i insert a marker and I want to set the coulour of the marker, the reaper program stops working. What can i do to solve this problem? i've got a HP notebook. thx for your help, V.

Hello vinzyman, and welcome to the forums. That doesn't sound right at all. Does this happen everytime? Even after computer restarts? Sounds like a corruption either in the REAPER instllation or the OS. Personally I'd reinstall REAPER and try it again. If that doesn't clear it I think you've got an OS or a driver issue somewhere, or other software conflict. What OS are you on? Do you get an error message at all? >

Hey, yes it happens every time i wanna give a marker or a track a colour. Now it seems the colour window is opened outside of my screen. this explains the problem. I know now the program doesn't stop working and i can continue using escape. I still have to know how to move the colour window so i can see it. thx for your help, Vinzyman

If you're on Windows, right click on the taskbar. That will give you a menu, choose one of the options eg. Cascade Windows and you may get your missing color window back again.

There's another thread on the same subject. Also still without a solution (except exit with escape)

If you start up with just 1 monitor, does the problem still occur? Or maybe these tips could help?
